Female Leaders in Future Industries is an interdisciplinary summer university designed for female STEM students from our Korean partner universities who are interested in exploring innovation-driven industries and developing leadership skills in a global context. The program combines academic lectures, practical learning experiences, industry engagement, and intercultural exchange to prepare participants for potential career paths in technologically advanced sectors.
During the first week, students participate in an intensive German Language and Culture course, which equips them with basic communication skills and introduces key aspects of German society, business culture, and everyday life. This component supports participants in navigating both academic and professional contexts in Germany.
The academic core of the program focuses on future-oriented industries and analytical competencies. Lectures on Renewable Energy explore the technological, economic, and policy dimensions of the global energy transition, highlighting innovations and challenges in sustainable energy systems. The Financial Mathematics module provides insights into quantitative methods used in modern financial markets, including risk analysis, data-driven decision-making, and mathematical modeling. Laboratory sessions complement the lectures by allowing students to apply theoretical concepts in practical exercises.
A key experiential component of the program is a simulation game, where participants collaborate in teams to solve complex strategic challenges. This interactive format promotes problem-solving, leadership development, and teamwork in an international environment.
The program also includes company visits and industry interactions, offering participants direct insights into innovative companies and current projects in future-oriented sectors. These engagements provide valuable exposure to professional environments in Germany and opportunities to learn about potential career paths.
By combining academic knowledge, industry insights, and intercultural learning, the course aims to empower female STEM students to pursue leadership roles in emerging industries and to develop the skills necessary for careers in an increasingly globalized and innovation-driven economy.
Methods and assessment will be made available soon.
